Samsung’s 7-inch Super AMOLED display gets Galaxy Tab design

Samsung Display presented at the FPD-International event a 7-inch Super AMOLED prototype display incorporated into a device that looks almost identical with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Is this the Galaxy Tab 2?

It seems that the new display announced could be incorporated in the next generation Galaxy Tab. The panel has a WXVGA 1200×600 Pixel 169 ppi with 16.7 M colors,250 cd/m² free viewing angels and >100% NTSC color space. This means that the next Galaxy Tab should have a brighter display, more saturated colors and hopefully provide more battery.

Netbook news released a video in which the new Galaxy Tab with Super AMOLED panel is displayed :

Maybe Samsung risked a bit releasing this news, taking into account that the Samsung Galaxy Tab has already been released in many parts of the world and has started to arrive today in US.

Would you wait for the Galaxy Tab  2 (mid 2011 or later) or go ahead with the 1st version?
