The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 it’s expected not to have DMB function or other pre-installed applications such as office and e-book reader when it’s going to be released. Will come though with basic Google software such as Google Search, Google Talk and Chrome Browser.
ETNews reports that, according to industry experts, this change is a strategy from Samsung to differentiate the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from the Galaxy Tab 8.9. This supposedly is going to help the company bring more choice to customers and prevent decrease in sales.
“It is true that we are considering removing some functions such as a DMB device but it has not been decided yet as we have not launched the new product yet,” said a Samsung employee.
The price of the Galaxy Tab has been reported to be $499 for the 16GB version and $599 for the 32GB version (ready to pre-order), already it has been speculated that the price of the Wi-Fi version could go down to $399 in U.S. We will have to wait and see…
