Malaysia is the latest country to launch the world’s thinnest tablet.
In conjunction with the August 19th launch, Samsung worked with Malaysian telecommunications provider Celcom to offer attractive packages to the public.
For example, the first 300 customers at local merchants, The Piazza, The Curve and Kota Damansara, received the Galaxy Tab at a cost of only RM999 ($336 USD). Additionally, 20 lucky customers were randomly selected to buy it for RM99 or about $33.
“The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a remarkable example of Samsung’s constant innovation, demonstrating our dedication to designing products of the highest standard, ensuring they fit the unique needs of the technology-savvy Malaysian audience,” said Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
Hoon added: “We have combined our innovations in design and display with an intuitive user experience, creating a new class of products that will lead the tablet market.”
