Australian Retailers Ready to Sell Galaxy Tab 10.1

After a lengthy legal battle with Apple over patent infringement that started in October, Samsung is officially allowed to sell the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia starting on December 9th.

Australian retailers such as Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Myer, Bing Lee and Officeworks expect brisk sales during the holiday season.

It does qualify as a generous gift with a WiFi only 16GB version of the Galaxy Tab retailing for $579 outright, while the 3G model sells for $729.

However, were you to go through Vodafone, you could pick up the tablet with the minimum monthly spend starting at $39 on a 24 month plan, and $65 on a 12 month plan.
