Is Samsung Set to Release S-Cloud?

Reports are now swirling that Samsung will be challenging Apple’s iCloud with it’s own cloud backup service, to be dubbed S-Cloud.

The Korean news source is Maeil Business and the leaked document cited is “Samsung Electronics SW Consolidation Plan” reports The Verge’s, Joshua Topolsky.

S-Cloud will likely ship “with access to popular TV shows, movies, and music with free and paid content that will be available across a range of Samsung devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones,” according to The Verge.

Additionally, 5GB of storage will be offered and software giant Microsoft is on board to make sure the service is widely available.

We expect more comprehensive details at a forthcoming Samsung event scheduled on May 3rd at Earls Court Exhibition Center in London, UK.
