Samsung announced that it will use Atmel’s MaXTouch S Controller to power the new Galaxy Note’s 10.1-inch touchscreen.
The Note’s WXGA 1280 x 800 touchscreen display will benefit from Atmel’s mXT1664S controller to deliver a superior touch experience, faster responses for users and much higher accuracy, including reduced unintended touches.
Other notable advantages include lower device power consumption, brighter displays and better operation with noisy chargers.
“Our customers expect the most innovative products offering a flawless touch experience every time,” said HeonSeok Lee, senior engineer of display lab, Samsung Electronics Corporation. “To meet those expectations, we have collaborated with leading touch supplier Atmel.”
