Samsung has a new 8-inch tablet on the drawing board according to several published reports.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, as it might be called, is set to compete with Apple’s iPad mini and Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD.
Since the Mobile World Congress convention in Barcelona is held at the end of February, the release party may be held there.
Expect two models to be released: one with WiFi and 3G, and one WiFi only.
In addition to Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the list of features includes: 1280×800 thin-film-transistor (TFT) LCD touch-screen display, a 5 megapixel back camera, a 1.3 megapixel front camera, 2 GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port, up to 32GB of storage plus a Micro SD slot that can add another 32GB.
